December 2007. A group of young dreamers from an online web community decides to meet as they never have had seen each other eye-to-eye. Their union at a popular place in Kolkata on the morning tea table, turns out to be a hallmark of new commitment and breeds a new dawn towards executing social responsibility and promotion of culture with a universal approach.
As dawn beholds out of the darkness, Aabheri is born as a messenger to bathe into the dawn of sunshine . Aabheri, through the commitment of these young dreamers has dedicated to work for the underprivileged and the poorer sections of the society and want them back in the mainstream of life and enable them to bask in that sunshine. Aabheri is committed to promote the rich Indian cultural diversity worldwide and through the formation of intra-community cells.
The young dreamers, inspite of their prior commitments towards the development of their respective careers, dedicated themselves to work for the mission of Aabheri with a pre-set objective. The day was March 16, 2008 and Aabheri got itself registered under West Bengal Societies Registration Act of 1961 with its first office located in Salt Lake, Kolkata. The activities have not restricted Aabheri to Kolkata only, it has spread its wings in Hyderabad, and Delhi and initiated social projects with the help of the well wishers and members spread across the globe. Funds have poured in from as diverse corners of India like Hyderabad, Delhi, Agra, Chennai, Bangalore, Bilaspur, Siliguri and Guwahati The members staying aboard in USA, UK and South Africa had also contributed towards the social work executed in January 2008 in Hyderabad and Kolkata.
Aabheri's dream has spread across boundaries and have made a successful approach outside West Bengal too. Members joined in from different parts of the country and abroad with a common objective to work for the holistic development of the society with a global approach towards love for humanity and its culture.
